As one of the founding 12 members of the Football League Bolton Wanderers are an iconic club with a huge history on which to build their bright future. The stature of the club needs to be reflected in its digital fan experience.

The challenge

Wanderers needed a digital experience that was specifically designed for their club and that would enable them to better understand and connect with their fans. With no app, no data, and little control, the club were restricted and fans deserved more.

The stunning new website and apps are as beautifully designed as they are high performing with content and functionality giving fans everything they need. Powered by our Clubcast Fan Experience Platform the new website and app are easy to manage and the Data Cloud’s insights fuel deeper connections – keeping fans engaged and delighted whilst maximising commercial opportunities.

Design with detail

Incorporating the club’s rich history, the design is uniquely Wanderers with carefully considered touches. The Lancashire red rose, the historic elephant, and the diamond shape of the stadium’s iconic floodlights all embody the club’s identity.

Upgraded functionality

Wanderers TV is the new streaming and VOD service that elevates the viewing experience.

With our single sign on (SSO) solution fans can access Wanderers TV, retail, and ticketing through one log-in for a seamless experience.


Live match centre

When a game is in play the dedicated match centre comes to life. Bold and clean, all the important information is available at a glance with pre-match build-up, in-game commentary, and stats for fans to dig into.

Improved content

From breaking news to fixtures and results, league tables and player stats, the new website has everything the fans need to know with a compelling new visual presentation.

Alongside the usual content are new additions, including quizzes to take engagement to the next level through interactivity.

Harnessing data

Powered by Clubcast SSO every Wanderers fan interaction with the website and app is captured in the built-in Data Cloud. The customisable data dashboards give a real-time view to understand fan behaviours. By segmenting audiences the club can now customise their communications to fans to deepen engagement.

Boosting revenue
