We are proud to have been associated with one of Britain’s most iconic and legendary fashion brands Ben Sherman. We provided them with a stunning new e-commerce and online brand experience.

Introducing Ben Sherman. A name that is synonymous with British fashion, Ben Sherman has been at the forefront of cultural movement over the past five decades. Now available in over 40 countries worldwide, they still continue to embrace a heritage of modernism.

The Challenge

In 2011 Ben Sherman selected Other Media to design, develop and launch a new e-commerce website to coincide with a dramatic refresh of their iconic brand. With little history in online retail and an existing site that didn’t represent their desired brand or business direction, we were challenged to deliver a more effective solution that increased revenue and awareness.

What we did

We worked closely with Ben Sherman at all stages to deliver a website to meet their objectives. We developed a beautiful and on-brand creative direction that more accurately portrayed Ben Sherman, whilst also demonstrating our usability and conversion optimisation skills.

Our in-house Magento skill provided the ideal platform for Other Media to develop an end-to-end global e-commerce solution for Ben Sherman. We created a scalable infrastructure that gave Ben Sherman a great shopping and brand experience, whilst also allowing for further growth in site functionality over time. Magento also allowed us to integrate additional elements including e-mail campaigns, social media enhancements, competitions and other marketing activities that broadened Ben Sherman’s CRM potential and incentivised increased traffic and conversion rates.

The results

The Ben Sherman website has renewed the brand’s online presence, accurately resembling its prestige and heritage. Within the first months of launching, Ben Sherman saw an 81% increase in page views. Our Search Engine Optimisation techniques (SEO) have also helped Ben Sherman to increase its appearance in keyword search results by 52% since launch.
